To celebrate a first successful year of co-operation Abu Dhabi Motorsport Management (ADMM) and Richard Mille hosted an exclusive evening on the Yas Marina Circuit earlier this month, with personalities from the world of motorsports and members of Abu Dhabi’s senior business elite attending the event.
Guest of honours was H.E. Khaldoon Al Mubarak, CEO of the Mubadala Development Company and member of the Executive Council for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. In capacity of Manchester City Football Club, H.E. Khaldoon Al Mubarak came accompanied by the Club’s manager and former international football player, Roberto Mancini.

Attending guests were also, Alberto Galassi, CEO for Piaggio Aero Industries, Manish Pandey screenwriter for Asif Kapadia’s documentary film ‘Senna’ and racing driver Felipe Massa. Long-time partner and test driver for Richard Mille, Felipe Massa is the only driver to wear a watch whilst competing during official races. Paying homage to his long-lasting friendship with Richard Mille was former British racing driver Martin Brundle: currently F1 commentator for the BBC, Brundle performed hot laps onboard a Yas Marina F1 2- Seater car, delivering his passengers in what can be rightly considered one of the closest experience to a ride in a real single-seater. Earlier this year, Richard Mille announced its association with the Yas Marina Circuit & Racing School as Official time-keeping partner. A limited-edition watch was launched to celebrate the start of the partnership: the RM 011 Felipe Massa Flyback Chronograph Yas Marina Circuit features a distinctive Yas Marina livery with a bright blue inner bezel and a white rubber strap, paying homage to the Circuit’s colours. The Yas Marina adorns the dial above the oversized date. Only ten of the 18k white gold watches have been produced, available exclusively through Yas Marina Circuit.
