1789 Capital, the pioneering investment firm dedicated to funding the next generation of American Exceptionalism, today announced that Dane Fraser has joined as the Head of Investor Relations.
Fraser is a seasoned executive with more than 20 years of experience in alternative investments across investor relations, manager selection and business development. He brings deep expertise across multiple market cycles as well as a proven track record of driving growth through a client centric approach across institutional, consultant, and private wealth channels.
Fraser joins 1789 from Balyasny Asset Management where he served as a Managing Director for over five years, helping the firm grow from $6 billion in AUM to over $34 billion today. While at Balyasny, Fraser led institutional fundraising and investor relations efforts across the East Coast of the U.S., all of Canada, and global wealth management channels.

Prior to BAM, Fraser was a senior member of the UBS Alternative Investment division responsible for more than $90B of AUM. In his more than seven years at UBS, Fraser held multiple senior leadership roles including Head of Alternatives for the Family Office Solutions Group, Head of Alternative Investment Strategy, and Head of Investment Due Diligence for the Hedge Fund business.
His addition marks another significant milestone for 1789 Capital as it continues to add to its roster of senior executives. Fraser will help the firm launch new investment strategies and pursue establishing a permanent capital base while also leading on investor relations initiatives.
